Travel Diaries / Prague
Ahh pretty Prague! Land of super cheap public transport and vegan food! Oh and loads of pretty building obviously.
This was our first trip abroad together and it was a lovely one. Unfortunately we lost a day due to a flight cancellation (wah!) buuuut we still really enjoyed Prague. There wasn't really anything not to like!
I got to introduce Dan to one of my favourite artists, Alphonse Mucha and see some of his original work for the first time.
We discovered a vegan chain called Loving Hut, oh my goodness, love that hut we did 😍It was a cheap buffet style restaurant where you paid for your food based on the weight at the end. It was sooo yummy. Even though we were only in Prague a few days we went there a couple of times. The staff the second time weren't great, I'm not sure if it was a bit of a language barrier (I think I read the restaurant is Asian/Vietnamese), but the food was still great. And so many bonus points for being totally vegan.
We've since discovered a Loving Hut elsewhere, on route to San Francisco, but that one wasn't as good. It was in a shopping mall and a different style set up/more expensive but if you're ever in Prague, I highly recommend checking it out.
I think our highlight of the trip was our jazz boat cruise and dinner on the river. It was so lovely! Plus at the end we got to have a little dance on the top deck while everyone else was still sat below and a bevy (Googled what a group of swans is called, disappointing) of swans past us. I've never seen so many together in my life there must've been about 50 it was like something out of a film!
Outfit wise, I was Collectif based! These three dresses helped carry me through from day to night wear.
Ah I also took this Lindy Bop keys print skirt that was great to pop over my Wednesday Collectif dress for a jazz club one night!
For our amazing night cruising and dining on the river Vltava with a live band, we dressed up and I wore a more formal beautifully made 40s style Collectif dress in navy with a vintage brooch.
I'd love to go back to Prague, it wasn't really someone that was particularly on my list but we both fancied somewhere new, and 'coupley' and it sounded like it ticked the right boxes and I'm so glad we went.
